Sir,
I am directed by His Excellency Sir Richard Graves MacDonnell to inform you that on the 15th instant this letter was laid before his Executive Council.
The letter of the 7th October in which you state the circumstances and conditions under which you can procure for the services of 100 Sikh Government Police, of whom you are to retain command, and who are to be entrusted with Giles Vandeleur Creagh, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Multan, Punjaub, India.
